Top Valentines Day Gifts for Her – 2010: Splurge vs. Steal

Looking for top Valentine’s day gifts of 2010?

If we had to take a stand on whether Valentine’s day was invented by Hallmark, we would have to say “Yes”. Nevertheless, it is approaching and like it or not, we have been socially conditioned to treat Valentine’s day like a holiday and to expect something-something (think bling-bling, gourmet chocolat, and sexy attire).

Whether you are buying gifts for special women in your life or simply believe in “suggestive gifting” (i.e. casually mention to a hubby/boyfriend what your heart desires), this guide will help you decide.   Oh yeah, and we grouped the finds n each category by splurge and steal to fit every budget.  (But don’t fret, while the steals are less expensive, they are high quality).

I bought my girlfriend a “secret” cell phone. She has a phone but her bill is always super high because her clients are always calling her. So I bought her a phone with 1000 minutes, 1000 text, and 30MB of data (a prepaid cell phone) on the Straight Talk plan (Verizon Wireless network) for $30 (the minutes) and the phone (that I bought at WalMart). Now she and I can talk without worrying of her running up his cell phone bill. There are no activation, overage, or cancellation fees. And it’s an awesome “Valentine’s Day” gift that I don’t have to think about too much.

Can’t go wrong with chocolate and jewelry! I like these picks. However, I think lingerie is a better Valentine’s Day gift for the guy than for the girl!

I recently wrote a similar post with gifts from him and her:
