Hello,
My name is Sameera, and I am the assistant to Carré Otis. After years away from public eye, Carré is returning to the industry that made her an international superstar. She’s about to launch a major new initiative called The Network, a project designed to transform the modeling industry by empowering models and agencies worldwide.
Carré is available for media interviews to tell her own remarkable and inspiring story. Please feel free to contact me at 310-385-0534 or Sameera@thenetworktalent.com in order to set up a call with Carré.

For Immediate Release:
Famed supermodel Carré Otis graced the covers of magazines across the globe in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s; her celebrated work for Guess and Calvin Klein, as well as her turbulent and troubled private life (including an infamous marriage to Mickey Rourke) made her a major star. Even before achieving success, however, Carré had –like so many in the modeling industry – struggled with a serious eating disorder, a disease which got progressively worse as both her fame and the resulting pressure increased. The media chronicled Carré’s battle with drugs and anorexia, a battle that nearly cost her her life.
Unlike many in the industry, Carré recovered. Today a happily married mother of two young girls, she and her family live in a small town in Colorado. After many years out of the public eye, Carré is returning to public life as a Partner and spokesperson for The Network, an extraordinary initiative to transform the modeling industry. The Network, founded by celebrated super-agent Paul Fisher (who represented Carré more than two decades ago) is reinventing the business of beauty, with a commitment to the health and well-being of fashion models worldwide. The Network connects more than 100 modeling agencies from small and medium-sized markets across the globe to create what will be, within a year, the largest modeling agency ever seen, representing more than 20,000 models. The Network formally launches on March 1, 2010.
Carré and Paul have reunited to assemble a formidable team of experts, insiders and advisers to guide The Network as it moves forward on this unprecedented and desperately needed project. Health and nutrition professionals as well as internationally renowned authorities on eating disorders, addictions, and self-esteem have joined The Network’s Modeling Community and team of expert advisers. Under Carré’s direction, the Modeling Community will make it possible for the next generation of successful models to find stardom without compromising their physical, psychological, and spiritual well-being.
“I never thought I’d come back to the modeling industry”, Carré says. “I’m back because I believe that The Network has the tools and the means to transform a business that brought me great success and even greater pain. I believe we can remake the modeling industry so that the images it produces can inspire rather than shame; I believe with all my heart we can make the industry into a business where models are treated with dignity and empowered to take charge of their careers – and the rest of their lives.”
Interviews to tell her own remarkable and inspiring story.
