Christian Louboutin doesn’t want you to wear red soles…unless he designed them.
According to New York Post, the visionary shoe designer is not happy that his signature red soles are massively copied by both, low priced labels and high-end brands. “Offenders” include Yves Saint Laurent as well as Christian Dior, who supposedly, plans to release red-sole shoes the next season.
Apparently, Christian Louboutin who is already suing Yves Saint Laurent for trademark infringement, is on a mission to make the red soles Christian Louboutin exclusive. Seems like there will be a whole lot of resources and costs involved.
On our end, we are wondering, if Christian Louboutin should focus his creative energies at looking ahead and whipping up innovative designs instead of chasing something that he will be unlikely able to control.
We are also stipulating if Louboutin will try to patent the color red? And if he is likely to succeed. And if so, should we coin the word “fashion” or “urbanista”?
And while all this hoopla is taking place, Louboutin brand and his coveted shoes will certainly get even more exposure and publicity. So perhaps snagging a pair before everyone else does is a worthy investment…We’ll be getting ours at theOutnet.
What do you think of this charge? Does Louboutin have a point?
