New York Fall 2013 Fashion Week is in full swing and we are kicking off our favorites reviews with Calla, an up-and-coming label created by Calla Haynes, Paris based, Canadian born designer, who learned the craft underOlivier Theyskens at Nina Ricci and Rochas. The premise behind Calla’s Fall 2013 collection is making pastels work in fall.
We adore the fun patterns, happy yellow and violet hues, but most importantly we love that by choosing to use pastels for autumn collection instead of using traditional fall hues, such as dark greens and burgundies, Calla dances to the beat of her own drum.
Perfect for the ladies who find it hard to part with summer, love an array of colors regardless of the season, and most importantly, thrive to look different.
Calla is available online here, and at the New York Opening Ceremony retail store. (images)
