I love dressing up my little guys in the great quality, most comfortable, adorable clothing. There is no better feeling than watching your adorable tot wearing stylish things that make them look even more adorable than what they already are (as if that’s possible). While I can (occasionally) pass up on things I like, I have incredibly difficult time passing up on things for my kids.
But as much as each of us want to keep our little people happy, let’s face it, quality kid’s clothing can get expensive.
Most indie brands are produced in small quantities and are not widely distributed. Since economy of scale on such products is almost non-existent, these items are sold at boutique prices. Let’s face it, when a cute top or shirt costs around $40, beautifying your kid’s closet can really add up. While it may seem transparent when shopping online, transparency seems to diminish when it is time to pay monthly bills.
Here are a few places on the web to beautifully dress up your tot without spending a fortune:
One Deal Per Day Sites – These sites have been gaining popularity, they feature one deal per day, up to 75% off. Sign up to site’s newsletter for alerts on what is being featured on a given day.
· Mamabargains.com – is a great site with the best prices we’ve seen on the web for a comparable product. They mostly sell overstock and last season items and feature many products from smaller boutiques and popular indie designers. Some of the brands featured in the past are: Itzy Ritzy, Fleurville, See Kai Run, Vincent Shoes, Chaise n Sky, Kee-ka.
The owner provides detailed and value added customer service and fosters community environment. Checkout MamaBargains forum, playfully labeled “Playground”, to see product reviews, post a product request, and get a general gyst of customer’s satisfaction. Shipping and Handling prices are kept very reasonable. Local pickup is available(Salt Lake City).
*Although Mamabargains.com is a One-Deal site, the deals actually change a few times during the day (approximately every two hours). Keep hitting that refresh button ladies. Good stuff goes fast.
· BabySteals.com –Features similar products and brands as MamaBargains.com. Pickup is available in Utah and Los Angeles.
· Tottlers.com – this is a new site, the selection is somewhat limited and discounts could be lower, but good deals do pop-up occasionally

Happy Hunting for your little treasures!
