Is Manolo Blahnik No Longer In Demand?

by Editor on November 4, 2011 · 1 comment

According to select tweets, Manolo Blahnik Sample sale held in Warwick Hotel yesterday, had a small turnout.  Rows and rows of Manolo shoes, priced $96 to $500, covered the tables.   The one difference, the usual mob of women fighting over each coveted pair was missing.

Here is a little glimpse of Manolo styles that were available at the sample sale.

For all the ladies who where a no-show at this low-key sample sale, but who still crave a stunning pair of Manolos, we found that Ebay has a plentiful offering at similar prices.  Here are a few striking pairs that caught our eye.

What do you think of this almost empty Manolo sale?  Is Manolo Blahnik brand loosing its appeal?  Or is it simply poor advertising and a missed opportunity for us?

I am a personal fan of Manolo Blahnik shoes and have a closet full of them. Most I bought on sale. I believe it’s because there are so many shoes out there now that are considered equal quality and status, where 10 years ago it was all about Manolos. Too much to choose from now! Also, I’m sure the economy has something to do with it.
