When Kate Winslet arrived at Venice Film Festival and showed off her curves in this Stella McCartney miracle dress, the dress got fashionista’s attention. At a quick glance, her waist looked tiny and her silhouette, extra curvy. At a closer look, it became apparent that this smartly tailored Stella McCartney number uses a form of optical illusion.
It smartly mixes color-blocking to sculpt and emphasize Kate’s waste. It also uses firm, stretch cotton to keep the body in tight wraps, similar to body shapewear. An optical illusion and body-sculpting shapewear, is a crafty combination that is worth a mention. Other fans of the Stella McCartney Miracle dress include Liv Taylor and Penelope Cruz.
Now, where to get it? While the dress promptly sold out at Stella McCartney website and New York flagship store, we found one last dress at Saks Fifth Avenue site (Now sold out.) and a plethora of similar and more budget friendly dresses at other sites.
