Michelle Williams’ Style – How To Get It

Michelle Williams Style
You might know the stunning Michelle Williams from her role in the controversial Blue Valentine.  If not, more recently, she was cast as Marilyn Monroe and all heads turned as the blonde bombshell instantly became an Oscar shoo-in. Williams captured Monroe perfectly, from her curvy frame in slimming pencil skirts and sexy cardigans, to that legendary white halter-top dress.

And in real life, Williams is just as fashion forward. The starlet prefers to mix high and low fashion when out and about, while stunning on the red carpet in daring color schemes and bright red lips. Her weekend wear is casual yet chic, with flat boots and cozy cardigans as easy staples.

In honor of Williams and her success as of late, we rounded up her best looks and showed you how to recreate them. Like Williams, we looked to easy pieces that can be mixed and matched. Stay warm this winter in military-inspired jackets, plaid button downs, and cozy cover-ups. And when it comes to your nights out, take a cue from Williams and try a sparkly little number, paired with your favorite jewel-tone pump.

Here is Michelle Williams style, demystified:

Look 1: Williams’ classic, military-inspired look is timeless. Copy her downtown chic style by opting for a navy coat with gold detailing and simple, flat brown boots.

Look 2: Rugged is all the rage this winter, and what’s better than a wind-impenetrable parka to fend off the cold? Parkas are also a staple trend this winter, made a tad more chic with a fur hood.  Add a striped top underneath for a chic, peek-a-boo effect.

Look 3: Another great winter-wear option that is playful and girly is the toggle jacket. Pair it with a floaty dress and thick tights, and top is all off with a snug beanie for ultimate warmth.

Look 4: Sick of solids this season? Opt for a large plaid top or dress, and layer with a cozy knit vest to retain the heat.

Look 5: New Year’s has passed, but that doesn’t mean your sequins need to go into hiding. Dazzle with a sequined mini and accentuate with jewel-tone pumps.

Look 6: Yellow can be hard to pull-off, but Williams does so perfectly with a ruffled dress and a red lip. For a more day-time appropriate option, go with a shorter yellow and accessorize it with a daring metal collar necklace.
